Not Quite Key’s Cafe S’mores Bars

Ingredients:

¼ Cup Unsalted Butter

4 Cups Golden Grahams Cereal

3 ¼ Cup Mini Marshmallows, divided

¾ Cup Mini Chocolate Chips, divided

Steps:

1. Line a 9”x5” loaf pan with tin foil and coat with non-stick cooking spray.

2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. (DON’T LET THE BUTTER BURN)

3. Once butter is fully melted, add 3 cups of mini marshmallows and continue cooking and stirring until all of the marshmallows are melted.

4. Remove marshmallow mixture from heat and add cereal, stir to evenly coat.

5. As soon as the cereal is coated, but still warm, add ½ cup of the mini chocolate chips and fold in to evenly distribute,

6. Pour the cereal mixture into the prepared loaf pan and press the top down to create an even/flat top.

7. Evenly sprinkle remaining marshmallows and chocolate chips on top of the pressed down mixture, (and press in slightly to ensure they stick to the bars).

8. Let cool completely then lift the foil from the pan and slice into smaller bars.

9. Enjoy!

Notes:

1. These are good, but they can never compare to the real thing from Key’s Diner in Minneapolis. If you can, get the real thing.

2. You can also substitute Cinnamon Toast Crunch for Golden Grahams, which makes them more like Churro S’mores Bars, which are just as great!
